Game On!
We proudly sponsor five co-ed alumni teams that participate in various sports leagues. Hosted by the Capital Alumni Network (CAN www.dcalum.org), this non-profit’s membership roster includes regional and DC alumni chapters from more than 215 internationally-based colleges and universities.
Flag Football
Our co-ed team has advanced to at least the second round of the CAN postseason tournament every year. Practices take place all summer—the season officially kicks off in mid-September. Weekly games take place on the Mall/Ellipse, either on weekend mornings or early afternoons. The season culminates with a two-day tournament in mid-January. The league is free
(with Club membership), but space is limited.

2010 Summer 11 v 11 Soccer -
The Georgetown 11v11 Alumni co-ed soccer team seeks experienced players to fill a limited number of openings in our roster. Our team plays on Sundays at turf fields in Washington, DC. and our next season begins on 6 June. Cost for the eight game season is ~$85; we are not subsidized by the Alumni Association. We seek both male and female players. The level of play is generally more competitive than the 7 v 7 CAN league, though we have players at various skill levels. The 11 v 11 team encourages participation in the 7 v 7 CAN league also, but provides an opportunity to play beyond the limited spring CAN soccer season. If you are interested, please send an email with your experience level (e.g. high school, recreational leagues, club team, CAN team, etc) and preferred position to mattmelanson@mac.com

Volleyball
Compete in a recreational or competitive-level league. All players are welcome—from collegiate champs to novices. The season begins in February and weekly games last until the May tournament. Teams have three men and three women each. Games are played on weekdays between 6 and 9 pm at Northern Virginia middle and high schools. A small fee (registration and uniform) may be required.
